Summary
Abacus Service Corporation is seeking a dynamic individual to join their IT team in St. Louis, MO. This role focuses on analyzing, supporting, and enhancing core business processes to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness, involving collaboration with IT Operations, Transit Operations, and corporate stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Meet with decision makers, system owners, and end users to define business and technical requirements
- Identify and resolve system and application issues, establishing system scope, objectives, and procedures
- Recommend application and process improvements to strengthen business operations
- Participate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications and system enhancements
- Create system models, specifications, diagrams, and charts for communication and project execution
- Provide training and orientation to end users for new or updated systems
- Research software and hardware solutions to support purchasing decisions and technology recommendations
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of related professional experience
- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, .NET ecosystem, C#, ASP.NET
- Experience with Oracle relational databases and PL/SQL
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Graduate degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with .NET Entity Framework and modern .NET versions
- Experience with WordPress or other content management systems
- Experience with transit or workforce management systems such as Trapeze Software or GIRO HASTUS
