Full Stack Engineer

Summary

Accenture Federal Services supports the US federal government through technology and innovation across defense, national security, public safety, civilian, and military health organizations. The Full Stack Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications across the technology stack, including Java backend services, RESTful APIs, AWS cloud deployments, and responsive JavaScript frontends. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, troubleshooting issues, and improving application performance, security, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications across the entire technology stack
• Building robust backend services using Java, creating and integrating RESTful APIs, and ensuring secure, high-performance data handling
• Deploy, monitor, and optimize applications, leveraging services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and serverless components to support reliable and scalable solutions
• Uses JavaScript and modern frameworks to deliver responsive, user-friendly interfaces that align with business and user requirements
• Collaborates closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions, troubleshoot issues across the stack, and continuously improve application performance and quality

Skills

• 2 years of experience developing in Java, Javascript and modern front-end frameworks (e.g.: React, Angular, or Vue.js)
• 2 years of experience with Ansible
• Experience in REST API development
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases (e.g.: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Hadoop, Elasticsearch)
• Experience with Node.js
• Must have an active Secret clearance
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Podman) and Linux environments
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Experience building, consuming and securing RESTful APIs
• TS/SCI preferred
