Job description

Summary

Accenture Federal Services is dedicated to helping the US federal government enhance national security and improve citizens' lives. They are looking for an experienced Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Cloud Engineer to lead large-scale workload migrations to GCP, focusing on creating secure and scalable cloud infrastructure for critical workloads.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage GCP foundational components, including BigQuery, Secret Manager, Vertex AI, VPCs, Cloud Storage, and/or Cloud IAM
  • Execute large scale data migrations to GCP using industry best practices and migration tools (e.g., Migrate for Compute Engine)
  • Implement secure cloud architectures that comply with federal cloud computing security requirements and Zero Trust principles
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, troubleshoot migration issues, and optimize costs

Skills

  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with at least 2 years focused hands-on with Google Cloud Platform
  • Proven experience executing cloud migrations (lift-and-shift, re-platforming, or refactoring)
  • Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/GKE)
  • Active Top Secret (TS) or Interim TS security clearance is required
  • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud Security Engineer Certification
  • Prior experience working on federal or DoD cloud migration projects
