Job description

Summary

AdventHealth is a healthcare organization serving patients through clinical and supportive services. The Cancer & Tumor Registrar II identifies, analyzes, documents, and electronically reports cancer patient data, while maintaining registry records, supporting evaluations and audits, and coordinating long-term follow-up data collection.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies, analyzes, and documents the history, diagnosis, treatment, disease status, and survival data of cancer patients
  • Prepares and electronically submits required reporting information to the state and other appropriate cancer databases
  • Collects data for patient care evaluations, protocol studies, and audits
  • Complies with all reporting requests and requirements
  • Abstracts all required cancer-related information into the electronic cancer registry system
  • Coordinates and maintains the long-term follow-up process of data collection and input for all cancer registry patients
  • Other duties as assigned
