Summary
American Modern Insurance Group is widely recognized as a leader in the specialty market of insurance. They are seeking an intern for their Financial Compliance team to gain hands-on experience and assist with various auditing processes.
Responsibilities
- Work with management in order to gain understanding of the audited processes
- Execute ‘MARSOX’ (Annual Financial Reporting Model Audit Rule) control testing (IT and financial reporting) in accordance with established auditing standards
- Complete documentation including testing templates, working papers, and accumulation of evidential matter in accordance with established audit standards
- Review ‘MARSOX’ (Annual Financial Reporting Model Audit Rule) control testing (IT and financial reporting) in accordance with established auditing standards
- Assist in the document connecting of the MARSOX processes within the organization
- Execute testing needed to support the external auditor
- Assist in follow up/updating of control deficiencies and documenting progress made during the year
Skills
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or graduate's degree
- Graduation date between December 2024 and May 2026
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks
- Strong interest in the insurance industry
- Ability to work independently and in group settings
- Authorized to work in the United States of America
- Candidates must be local (Cincinnati, OH) and will work in the office at least 2 days a week
- Finance and Accounting majors are preferred
