Job description
Summary
Anne Arundel County Office of Personnel is seeking a temporary GIS intern for the Office of Information Technology. The intern will apply academic knowledge to practical projects, working with GIS staff to develop web mapping products and enhance data quality.

- Data development
- Quality control procedures
Skills
- Candidates should be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in computer science or related field, with an interest or familiarity with the technologies mentioned in the specific program
- All applicants/students must have a cumulative GPA of a 3.0+
- Students are required to upload an official or unofficial transcript to their application to demonstrate their enrollment status and GPA
- Dependable transportation
- Attention to detail
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Eagerness to learn and has ability to learn independently
- Excellent presentation and communication skills to effectively communicate with management and customers
- Ability to clearly articulate complex concepts (both written and verbally)
- Effective time management skills
- Experience with Esri Enterprise, including ArcGIS Pro and Portal
- Spatial analysis techniques
