Job description
Summary
Anterior is on a mission to transform healthcare administration with an AI-powered platform designed for clinicians. The Member of Technical Staff will own the infrastructure that powers clinical decision-making at scale, focusing on system design, reliability, and backend services.
Responsibilities
- Scaling and hardening our AWS infrastructure to meet growing enterprise demand
- Analyzing request logs, debugging event streams, and improving system reliability
- Designing and building backend services, APIs, and data pipelines that power our AI platform
- Helping us migrate off CDKTF — if you've done this before, we want to talk to you
- Building internal tooling to automate workflows and increase team leverage
- Writing evals to identify weaknesses and drive improvements in our LLM-powered systems
- Working across the stack when needed — from backend services to frontend — to ship complete solutions
- Contributing to Anterior's SDKs, developer documentation, and platform architecture
Skills

- Care about the code you do not write
- Experience in scaling systems and managing cloud infrastructure
- Experience in building reliable distributed architectures
- Designed and operated production infrastructure on AWS
- Experience debugging production issues under pressure
- Experience designing for reliability
- Experience from a platform/infra team at a big tech company or a DevOps-heavy role at a scale-up
- Ability to analyze request logs and debug event streams
- Experience designing and building backend services, APIs, and data pipelines
- Experience building internal tooling to automate workflows
- Experience writing evals to identify weaknesses and drive improvements in LLM-powered systems
- Ability to work across the stack from backend services to frontend
- Experience contributing to SDKs, developer documentation, and platform architecture
- Proficiency in Python, Go, TypeScript, and React
- Experience with Nix and AWS
- Experience migrating off CDKTF
