Job description

Summary

Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking a Paralegal / Case Manager for a respected litigation firm representing seriously injured individuals. The role provides litigation support to attorneys, manages cases throughout the litigation process, coordinates case-related activities, and maintains documentation, deadlines, and communications in a primarily remote environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to discovery requests
  • Preparing motions and other litigation documents
  • Drafting complaints, demand letters, pleadings, and related correspondence
  • Scheduling depositions, hearings, and other case-related events
  • Maintaining case calendars and tracking important deadlines
  • Processing incoming and outgoing mail and faxes
  • Communicating with clients, experts, medical providers, and opposing counsel
  • Assisting attorneys with case preparation and litigation strategy
  • Organizing and maintaining case files and documentation
  • Coordinating with Medical Case Managers regarding medical records and related documentation
  • Assisting with preparation for doctors' depositions
  • Reviewing and organizing medical records and medical chronologies
  • Filing incoming medical documentation
  • Providing additional case management and litigation support as needed

Skills

  • Two- or four-year college degree or paralegal certificate
  • Prior law firm experience
  • Litigation experience
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good typing and computer skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to take initiative
  • Professional and service-oriented approach when working with attorneys and clients
  • Demonstrated stability and longevity in previous positions
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Personal injury litigation experience
  • Experience managing complex litigation matters
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Candidates with strong state-court litigation experience who can demonstrate the ability to learn quickly, take initiative, and manage a demanding caseload are encouraged to apply
  • Candidates must be located in **South Florida**
  • **Federal litigation or Federal Court experience preferred**
