Welcome future Bank of Utah interns!
Bank of Utah is excited to be hiring interns for the summer of 2027. Our 12-week internship program (May 17th – August 6th, 2027) will immerse you in the real work of one of Utah's largest community banks. You will get a chance to meet and learn from senior leadership, network with other interns and understand the various aspects of banking through regular learning opportunities. See specific descriptions of the internships available at the bottom of this posting!

To qualify for this intern position, you must be:
  • Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master's degree, graduating 2027 or 2028
  • Able to work full time from May 17th – Aug 6th, 2027
  • Strong communication skills, open to feedback, organized, willing to follow up with multiple parties
  • Desire to learn and apply new skills
  • Business major or business background preferred

CREDIT ANALYST ASSISTANT – Full Time Intern – Salt Lake City

This intern will be located at 50 S 200 E, Salt Lake City, Utah. Required accounting, finance, or business degree. You will be performing credit assessment, documentation, and gaining invaluable hands-on experience in evaluating the creditworthiness of individuals and businesses, as well as loan closing processes. Under the mentorship of seasoned professionals, you'll sharpen your analytical skills, enhance your understanding of risk management, and contribute to real-world lending decisions on multi-million-dollar transactions. This internship offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the dynamic landscape of banking, while paving the way for a rewarding career in finance. Qualified candidates will have will need at a minimum some coursework and/or experience with finance, accounting, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Candidates with prior commercial lending experience are strongly preferred, particularly those with experience using SageWorks or other similar commercial lending underwriting software.
RISK/COMPLIANCE – Full Time Intern – Location Flexible (Ogden/Lehi) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Risk/Compliance Intern will be involved in many different aspects of the Bank’s enterprise risk program. Prefer accounting, finance, or business degree. The intern will be helping the Bank understand the implications and processes around risk management and compliance regulations. They will learn how the Bank identifies and mitigates risk factors across products and processes. They will also learn how bank regulations are interpreted and applied. The risk and compliance function of the Bank provides a unique opportunity to understand how various risk categories are managed across the organization..
CREDIT CARD PRODUCT MANAGEMENT – Full Time Intern – Location Flexible

The Credit Card Product Management Intern will work with Bank of Utah’s growing business and other credit card programs. Prefer finance, marketing, business, analytics, or economics degree. The intern will assist with market research, customer outreach initiatives, competitive analysis, portfolio reporting, and product development projects. They will gain exposure to payments, card economics, marketing strategy, customer experience, and data-driven decision making while working with internal teams and industry partners.
HUMAN RESOURCES – Full Time Intern – Location Flexible ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Human Resources Intern will have the chance to touch many different aspects of the human resource services of the bank, including talent development, leadership training, acquisition, benefits & wellness, compensation, and more! Prefer a student to intern between their junior and senior year, studying HR or related business field, or relevant experience. Location can be flexible (Utah County, Salt Lake County, or Ogden preferred).
ACCOUNTING – Full Time Intern – Ogden

This internship offers hands-on experience working directly for our Chief Accounting Officer. Responsibilities may include assisting with financial reporting, data entry, account reconciliation, and supporting the accounting team on special projects. Beyond technical tasks, interns also engage in meaningful service initiatives—such as teaching financial literacy to youth and volunteering with local organizations—reflecting the bank’s commitment to community impact. This internship offers a well-rounded opportunity to build both professional skills and personal growth.
CORPORATE TRUST – Full Time Intern – Salt Lake City

This intern will be located at 50 S. 200 E. Salt Lake City, UT. This position works as an analyst to the Corporate Trust Department. Executes high level and critical project requests from senior trust staff, maintains records and files, and resolves complex operational issues while overseeing daily Personal and Corporate Trust transactions. Manages the daily activities for a given section of the company's operations, including account maintenance, money movement, tax payments, and corporate fee transactions.
