Job description

Summary

Barton Malow Company is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team on a mission-critical data center project near Philadelphia, PA. This role involves planning, developing, coordinating, supervising, and monitoring onsite construction engineering activities for projects, acting as a liaison with architects, engineers, and owners regarding project progress and changes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for resolution and tracking of project issues
  • Manage all project document control
  • Process submittals and RFI’s
  • Support Procurement in the distribution of bidding documents and tracking of bidders
  • Maintain project schedule
  • Prepare and issue meeting minutes
  • Assist with planning and managing site logistics
  • Enforce corporate safety policies on jobsite
  • Receive and review/evaluate contractor quotations for changes and process change orders
  • Manage plan review and approval process with local and state municipalities

Skills

  • 4-year engineering, construction management or related degree
  • 1+ years of documented Mission Critical - Data Center experience from inception to completion
  • 1-3 years of relevant professional experience or related construction internship experience
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to be self-directed in problem-solving
  • Proactive attitude with commitment to safety
  • OSHA 30 Hour certification preferred

Qualifications

Must Haves

  • 4-year engineering, construction management or related degree
  • 1+ years of documented Mission Critical - Data Center experience from inception to completion
  • 1-3 years of relevant professional experience or related construction internship experience
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to be self-directed in problem-solving
  • Proactive attitude with commitment to safety

Nice to Haves

  • OSHA 30 Hour certification preferred
