Job description

Summary

BayRock Labs is a leading product engineering firm based in Silicon Valley that pioneers innovative tech solutions. They are looking for a motivated Backend Engineer to develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and Java, while collaborating with frontend engineers and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and Java
  • Build and support RESTful APIs and integrations with databases
  • Collaborate with frontend engineers and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
  • Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving backend issues
  • Contribute to code reviews and team knowledge sharing

Skills

  • 1–2 years of backend development experience with Node.js and Java
  • Familiarity with databases (SQL or NoSQL such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Exposure to version control systems (Git)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn
  • Experience with microservices architecture
  • Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines

Qualifications

Must Haves
