Job description

Summary

Bechtel Corporation provides engineering, construction, and project services across global infrastructure, energy, and industrial markets. The Construction Management Intern will gain hands-on experience while providing technical direction and supporting construction project execution across field, office, and project environments. The role includes constructability reviews, materials management, quality verification, and coordination with engineering, procurement, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

  • Design temporary construction facilities
  • Interface with other functions including engineering and procurement
  • Perform constructability reviews
  • Plan and package the work for the craft professionals
  • Verify installed quantities
  • Resolve technical issues with designer of record
  • Manage equipment and materials, both permanent plant materials or material used for indirect construction use
  • Perform inspections and tests to verify quality and manage quality records
  • Interact with subcontractors
  • Implement standard work processes and procedures

Skills

  • Currently enrolled in a four-year Bachelor of Science degree program in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or relevant degree at an accredited college or university
  • Possess the eligibility to work and remain in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Ability and willingness to relocate and/or travel to domestic and/or international project jobsites
  • Completed relevant coursework
  • Prior co-op or internship experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Practical work experience in a construction environment
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills
  • Fluency in multiple languages (preferably Spanish, Arabic, or French)
