Job description

Summary

BGBx is an independent commercial solutions partner serving pharmaceutical and life science companies through consulting and communications. The Integrated Designer creates and produces high-quality digital experiences, maintains Figma libraries and design systems, and collaborates with creative, strategy, development, and production teams to deliver scalable, on-brand digital work.

Responsibilities

  • Execute design and production for digital tactics (web, landing pages, email, social, promotional banners, interactive display experiences) based on Creative concepts and briefs
  • Own and maintain Figma files, libraries, and team workspaces, including structure, naming conventions, permissions, and versioning
  • Own and translate wireframes, site maps, and interaction patterns into polished, production-ready designs, ensuring UX best practices, intuitive usability and consistency
  • Develop, document, maintain, and evolve design systems (components, tokens, patterns) to support scalable, repeatable production
  • Ensure alignment between design systems and live builds; partner with developers to keep components synchronized
  • Prepare production-ready files and specifications (responsive layouts, asset exports, functional annotations, handoff documentation)
  • Apply and extend brand guidelines consistently across channels and deliverables
  • Identify opportunities to templatize and standardize assets to improve speed and quality
  • Support functional QA by validating builds against design systems and comps; test breakpoints and resolve discrepancies
  • Serve as an embedded member of the creative team, actively participating in team communications, meetings (including hot sheets, statuses, and client discussions as appropriate), and shared responsibility for brand health and team culture, while collaborating with cross-functional partners (Art Direction, Copy, Strategy, Development, and Production) to streamline workflows
  • Manage multiple assignments with disciplined file management and attention to detail

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Digital Design, Visual Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 2+ years of professional experience in digital, integrated, or visual design, preferably within an agency or similarly fast-paced environment
  • Strong proficiency in Figma, including components, libraries, auto layout, prototyping, and collaborative workflows
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Strong understanding of responsive digital design principles, UX fundamentals, and designing across multiple screen sizes and digital channels
  • Experience developing, maintaining, or working within component-based design systems
  • Strong visual design skills with demonstrated expertise in typography, layout, hierarchy, composition, and consistency
  • Experience preparing production-ready files and collaborating with developers through design handoff, implementation, and QA
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
  • Ability to interpret creative direction and work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work
  • Working knowledge of accessibility standards and digital production best practices is a plus
