You will be working with a highly collaborative and cross-functional Backend Engineering team to deliver and scale core infrastructure components and services that power our robust, high-performance, data-intensive SaaS platform. &nbsp;<h3>What You'll Do:</h3><ul><li>Collaborate on the architecture, design, and development of scalable and highly available applications and services.</li><li>Solve complex infrastructure-related problems with code, developing and providing post-release support for scalable applications.</li><li>Identify and implement enhancements to DevOps practices and tooling, leveraging automation to enhance robustness of the CI/CD pipeline, thereby streamlining efficient application development and deployment.</li><li>Drive technology design and articulate architecture solution options to the product owners and Engineering leadership.</li><li>Conduct post-mortems to analyze and prevent repeat failures.</li><li>Be a champion for Continuous&nbsp; Improvement in end-to-end infrastructure and systems.</li><li>Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies and processes that solve concrete business problems.</li><li>Become a domain expert who follows industry trends and applies best practices&nbsp; and contributes towards continuous improvement of those practices.</li></ul><h3>Who You Are:</h3><ul><li>5+ years of programming experience in backend languages</li><li>2+ years experience with PHP (Strongly preferred), Python, GoLang, Java or a similar programming language</li><li>2+ years experience with MySQL or a similar technology</li><li>Strong understanding of database schema design, caching and scalability</li><li>Strong understanding of various communication protocols (TCP, RPC, etc)&nbsp;</li><li>Strong understanding of Distributed Systems</li><li>Experience in Caching technologies is a plus (e.g. Redis or Memcached)</li><li>DevOps experience preferred</li><li>Experience with Full-stack observability tools like New Relic is strongly preferred</li><li>Workable understanding of Linux operating systems Experience with modern CI/CD and containerization tools like Docker</li><li>Ability to perform time and memory complexity analysis</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.</li><li>BS or higher degree in Computer Science or related technical field</li></ul>#LI-LH1#LI-REMOTE(Pay Transparency Range: $135,960 - $203,940)<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div>The exact salary will be dependent on the successful candidate’s location, relevant knowledge, skills, and qualifications.</div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><div><div><div></div></div></div><h1>Inclusion and Belonging</h1><h2></h2>At Commerce, we believe that celebrating the unique histories, perspectives and abilities of every employee makes a difference for our company, our customers and our community.
