Summary
Blu Omega is seeking a Power BI Developer to support the CDC Engage program and federal public health data modernization efforts. The role designs, develops, and maintains secure, scalable Power BI dashboards and business intelligence solutions while collaborating with stakeholders to transform complex data into actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations that transform complex data into actionable insights for mission-critical federal programs
- Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate business needs into scalable, user-friendly analytics solutions
- Optimize data models using Power Query, DAX, and SQL to ensure performance, accuracy, and seamless integration with enterprise data sources including Dataverse, SharePoint, and Azure services
- Maintain and enhance existing Power BI solutions by implementing best practices, conducting peer reviews, and staying current with emerging Microsoft Business Intelligence technologies and methodologies
Skills
- 3+ years of experience developing Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations
- 3+ years of experience with low-code development using Microsoft Power Platform tools
- 3+ years of experience migrating and modernizing legacy reporting applications into Power BI solutions
- Experience using SQL Server, Jira, or Visual Studio in Agile environments
- Experience with Dataverse design, data modeling, and data security
- Knowledge of Power Platform architecture, governance, and best practices
- Knowledge of data visualization best practices
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
- Bachelor's degree
