Job description
Summary
Bridgepoint Works is a civil engineering company specializing in infrastructure, water resources, environmental planning, and transportation projects. The Software Engineer will design, develop, and optimize scalable software solutions for infrastructure projects, collaborate with engineering teams, and apply cloud, DevOps, security, and emerging technologies to improve engineering workflows.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize software solutions that enhance infrastructure projects
- Build and maintain scalable, high-performance applications used across our engineering teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate technology into our civil engineering workflows
- Analyze complex technical problems and develop innovative, data-driven solutions
- Implement best practices in coding, architecture, and system security
- Work with cloud platforms and DevOps tools to streamline deployment and automation
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies to drive innovation in engineering software
Skills
- 3+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in Python, Java, C++, or similar languages
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Knowledge of databases, APIs, and scalable architecture
- Ability to work remotely, collaborate across teams, and manage multiple projects
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for technology-driven solutions
- Experience in engineering, construction, or infrastructure-related software development
- Familiarity with GIS, CAD, or mapping technologies
- Background in machine learning, automation, or AI-driven applications
Qualifications
