Retail Sales Intern

This internship provides an opportunity to see what goes on day to day within a retail environment. This internship provides hands-on experience in retail sales, customer service, and day-to-day store operations within the building materials industry. The intern will assist customers by providing friendly and professional service, answering product questions, processing transactions through the Point-of-Sale system, answering incoming calls, and notifying customers when orders are ready. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with incoming deliveries, organizing and maintaining merchandise and work areas, performing basic data entry, and supporting general store operations. Throughout the internship, the individual will gain practical experience in customer communication, product knowledge, problem-solving, Microsoft Office applications, and retail business operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, comfortable interacting with customers, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
