Summary
Cadence is seeking an early-career Software Engineer II to help develop an advanced software platform for cost planning, simulation, and early feasibility evaluation of sheet metal components. The role focuses on developing algorithms, translating engineering concepts into production-ready software, conducting feasibility studies, and integrating AI capabilities into product workflows.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new algorithms and methodologies to enhance simulation and cost estimation capabilities
- Translate engineering concepts into robust, production-ready software features
- Conduct feasibility studies to evaluate new approaches and validate performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new capabilities into the software platform
Skills
- * Strong programming skills in Python, QT, C++, VBA in Windows desktop environment
- * Proficient experience in using VS Studio, VS code, git and azure DevOps as development environment and debugging
- * Hands on working experience in Agile development methodologies
- * AI-native mindset with experience using modern AI tools and techniques in development workflows
- * Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- * Self-driven, curious, and eager to explore new technologies and methodologies
- * Master's degree in: Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related), Applied Mathematics, Physics, Software Engineering or Computer Science
- * Strong team collaboration skills using MS Teams and Zoom
- * Clear and effective English communication (written, verbal and presentation)
- * Self-driven, curious, and eager to explore new technologies and methodologies
- * Knowledge of metal forming processes
- * Familiarity with finite element methods (FEM) and simulation techniques
- * Experience with numerical methods or physics-based modeling
