Job description
Summary
Capgemini is seeking a junior Data Engineer and Analytics Visualization Specialist to join their remote team. The successful candidate will design, develop, and implement data visualizations to support business decision-making while collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and communicate insights from various data sources.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Spotfire
- Collaborate with business to gather requirements and understand their needs
- Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights, and communicate findings to the team for resolution
- Develop and maintain data models, data pipelines, and data warehouses using tools like Dataiku and the Starfish ingestion process
- Update and maintain distribution lists that send emails to end users based on captured data in the Spotfire reports
- Conduct quality assurance checks on data to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Be able to explain to end-users the details of a report and why it was created that way
- Flexible and able to learn other ETLs or ingestion processes that provide data for Spotfire should business needs change
- Flexible and able to learn new BI and dashboard tools to display data, like Palantir, should business needs change
Skills
- US Person (living and authorized to work in the US) as data is in vaulted environments
- Strong knowledge of data visualization tools such as Spotfire, Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization software
- Proficient in SQL and experience with data modeling, data pipelines, and data warehousing
- Experience with data analysis, data mining, and statistical analysis
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
