Engineering Intern (Unpaid)

Summary

Capital Region Water is seeking an Engineering Intern to support various engineering projects. The intern will work closely with senior leadership and project managers to assist in the design, permitting, and execution of infrastructure improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Work under the oversight of the Project Manager, Vice President of Engineering, and Senior Leadership in designing, permitting, bidding, and construction of linear asset improvements and other necessary projects
• Assist the Engineering Project Manager, GIS Manager, and Vice President of Engineering in coordinating and administering CRW’s LCRR initiative
• Support the Engineering Department capital improvement program implementation functions
• Work with Project Manager to draft Specifications related to CRW CIP and GI projects
• Assist with facilitating virtual and/or in-person meetings related to the successful completion of an IDIQ and/or CIP project through the project life cycle
• Coordination and support of professional engineering and planning consultants in the design and execution of infrastructure improvement projects (drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater/GI) beyond infrastructure improvement projects that are being completed in house
• Assist with the coordination of design documents, CCTV files, PACP reports, and other interdepartmental data and communications between internal and external consulting engineering firms
• Attend design meetings, participate in the design process and provide feedback and documentation
