Summary
Check Point Software develops cybersecurity solutions that protect organizations from sophisticated cyber and AI-driven threats. The Backend Software Developer will investigate production software issues, implement and validate fixes, and contribute to the stability and evolution of the Security Management platform while collaborating with support, QA, and R&D teams.
Responsibilities
- Investigate complex customer-reported software issues from analysis through implementation and validation
- Work with different backend technologies, primarily Java, alongside Spring, PostgreSQL, and also C++
- Collaborate with Technical Support and cross-functional R&D teams to troubleshoot production issues and improve product quality
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing within the team
- Leverage AI-powered development tools to improve productivity, accelerate investigations, and enhance software quality
- Willingness to provide customer support coverage during weekends, when needed, to help ensure continuous service across time zones
Skills
- 3+ years of backend software development experience
- Strong Java development skills
- Experience with Spring/Spring Boot and relational databases such as PostgreSQL
- Solid understanding of Linux environments, debugging, and troubleshooting complex software systems
- Experience with software design, object-oriented programming, and clean coding practices
- Familiarity with networking concepts or information security
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple teams
- Curiosity, ownership, and a continuous learning mindset, including the effective use of AI-assisted development tools
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship from an employer now or in the future
