Job description
Summary
Clair is a fintech company building an embedded digital banking platform that provides workers with faster access to their pay. The DevOps Engineer will own critical infrastructure architecture, automate and secure cloud systems, and ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of platforms supporting real-time payroll and financial transactions.
Responsibilities
- Architect, automate, and manage our cloud infrastructure using Terraform
- Oversee the reliability, performance, and monitoring of our systems using self-hosted Grafana, Sentry, and Laravel Nightwatch
- Manage infrastructure and specialized environments for AI, data science, and ML workloads
- Drive security and compliance efforts, including helping with SOC2 and PCI DSS audits and implementing technical controls
- Develop and maintain internal tools to support cross-functional teams
- Manage AI integrations and internal AI tools
Skills
- • 3+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
- • Strong expertise in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and automation
- • Strong security mindset
- • Strong coding background; must be willing to learn/work with our PHP/Laravel stack
- • Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases (any database experience is okay)
- • Ability to manage infrastructure for AI/ML/Data Science workloads
- Location: This is a remote position based in the United States
- • Experience handling compliance audits (e.g., SOC2, PCI DSS)
- • Experience working in a fast paced startup environment
- • Ability to periodically travel for team headquarters meetings and company on-sites
