As we continue our expansion from a single product into a multi-product platform, our infrastructure needs to evolve just as fast.The Engineering Manager for Infrastructure and Platform will build and evolve CoinTracker’s infrastructure and platform foundations so our teams can ship products faster, scale reliably to millions of users, and leverage AI across the development lifecycle to unlock step-function gains in engineering productivity.<h2>Your one year outcomes</h2><ul><li>Architect and deliver the infrastructure foundations needed to support CoinTracker’s expansion to 3+ products and 3M+ users, ensuring the platform scales reliably without infrastructure costs growing linearly</li><li>Meaningfully increase engineering velocity by shipping platform capabilities (e.g., ephemeral environments, streamlined CI/CD, and self-service tooling) that reduce friction and increase deployment confidence</li><li>Evolve our development stack to be AI-native, enabling step-function productivity improvements through AI coding agents, automated testing and review, intelligent debugging, and AI-assisted operational tooling</li><li>Establish shared platform services such as authentication, audit logging, and observability, as the default across product teams, replacing fragmented implementations with a unified and trusted platform layer</li><li>Define and communicate a clear technical vision for Infrastructure and Platform that aligns teams around where CoinTracker's architecture needs to be in 2-3 years, not just where it is today</li></ul><h2>What you will do</h2><ul><li>Lead and grow a team of 5+ engineers across Infrastructure, DevOps and SRE, setting clear priorities, coaching engineers to their full potential, and hiring the next wave of talent as the teams scale</li><li>Own the roadmap for infrastructure reliability, developer experience, and AI enablement in development lifecycle. Do what you say.</li><li>Communication: Able to clearly talk about the details and also zoom out to the bigger picture</li></ul></li><li>Role-specific<ul><li>2+ years of engineering management experience leading infrastructure and software platform teams</li><li>6+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure and software platform engineering</li><li>Deep expertise in cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred, or AWS/Azure), observability, CI/CD, and modern infrastructure-as-code practices</li><li>Experience building or scaling shared platform services (e.g., authentication, internal APIs, service frameworks)</li><li>Comfortable navigating ambiguity and turning loosely defined problems into clear action plans with pragmatic trade-offs</li><li>Strong architectural instincts and ability to guide teams toward sustainable, scalable solutions</li><li>[Bonus] Experience in crypto or financial systems where uptime directly affects users' financial well-being</li></ul></li></ul>The starting salary for this position is between $264,000 - $297,000 USD. Candidate's location does not impact the posted salary range. The actual compensation offered will be based on a variety of job-related factors including relevant skills, education, and experience. This position also includes equity in CoinTracker and benefits like medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, and PTO.
