Summary
CompTIA is a leading advocate for the global information technology ecosystem. The Software Test Engineer II designs, develops, and maintains automated testing frameworks and scripts, identifies and logs product issues, creates test cases, and collaborates with developers and quality analysts to ensure software quality.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for identifying and investigating issues found during testing and updating test cases based on discovered defects
- Works closely with software developers and software quality analysts to resolve issues
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to reduce repetitive manual testing
- Participate in project-wide reviews of requirements, system architecture, and detailed design documents
- Define Test Strategy and End to End Scenarios
- Understands key daily reporting elements needed for stakeholders and partners
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts within the QA organization & Research and evaluate new testing technologies and tools
- Other relevant tasks, duties, or special projects as assigned
- Keeping to date with industry trends and emerging testing technologies
- Communication of critical issues and status updates
- The ability to identify and log product issues
- The ability to create and maintain automated test scripts
- The ability to create, update and execute test cases
- The ability to maintain workflow velocities and meet deadlines

Skills
- Moderate experience in software development processes and QA methodologies
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Experience in industry standard test management tools
- Experience testing in an Agile/Scrum methodology
- Moderate experience developing automation scripts using Playwright, Typescript, and TestNG or equivalent tools and technologies
- 4+ years' experience in a related field
- Degree preferred but not required for the role
