BIM Coordinator

Summary

Conti Federal Services is a global construction and engineering company specializing in military construction, critical infrastructure, secure construction, environmental remediation, and disaster response and recovery. The BIM Coordinator will use BIM technologies to manage design and construction processes, coordinate stakeholders, support quality control, manage project documentation, and identify and resolve design conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain and update 3D models of a construction project. The models should be accurate, up to date, and accessible to all stakeholders
• Coordinate between the design team, subcontractors and the construction team to ensure all parties involved are aware of any changes or issues
• Use BIM tools to extract accurate quantities for material takeoffs, which can be used in project cost estimating
• Review all project submittals and specifications provided by the project management team
• Independently checks CAD work against mark-ups to ensure high quality
• Identify potential clashes and conflicts in the design and construction phases and work to resolve them before construction begins
• Create and manage construction schedules using BIM tools; identify potential conflicts and delays; plan for efficient use of resources
• Manage and organize all documentation related to a project using BIM tools to help streamline the review and approval process
• Work toward continuous quality improvement
• Stay current with changing technology, including software and other technology programs
• Maintain an organized workspace and adhere to company safety policies

Skills

• For Security Clearance Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• At least two years of BIM experience working with modeling programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Fabrication CADMEP, as well as project management environments (ACC/BIM360, CMiC, InEight, or Procore)
• Able to prepare QC templates, drawings and details
• Familiar with laser scanning processes
• Direct experience working with multi-discipline project teams
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Engaged, proactive, resourceful, and self-motivated
• Deadline driven and able to multi-task efficiently
• Possesses strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
