Job description
Summary
Coterie Insurance is a commercial lines insurance startup focused on leveraging insurance knowledge and technology to efficiently de-risk the modern workforce. They are seeking a Backend Engineer to work across the stack, influence technology goals, and contribute to the development of their teammates while building out critical parts of their platform.
Responsibilities
- You'll work across the stack and will influence the tools we use, shape overall technology goals, and contribute to the development of your teammates
- You’d be building out some of the most important parts of our platform
- This key hire will also be expected to create documentation around Coterie’s backend system so additional hires can be quickly trained and brought up to speed
- We will heavily rely on your talent to help our team understand what new hires will be needed and when as the products scale
Skills
- 3+ years experience using C# .NET (preferably Core)
- Proficient at developing API's
- SQL proficiency
- Passionate about software testing
- Experience with Git and GitHub
- You seek to understand why decisions are made on the business side and are comfortable communicating with non-technical colleagues
