Summary
Cyntergy is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Designer to join its Electrical Engineering team. The role designs lighting, power, and electrical distribution systems for retail renovations, expansions, and new facility projects while coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, clients, and other disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Be the Electrical discipline lead for assigned projects
- Design, coordinate, and utilize Revit to produce lighting, power, and electrical distribution construction documents for building and facility projects
- Develop designs in compliance with applicable industry standards and building codes, including theNEC, energy codes, Life Safety Code, International Codes (I-Codes), and local amendments
- Perform electrical engineering calculations including voltage drop, load analysis, and fault current.Select and specify electrical equipment
- Coordinate with clients, architects, and other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs
- Represent the Electrical discipline in project meetings
- Perform site observations and or evaluate point cloud scans as required to document existing/installed conditions
- Participate in multi-discipline QC reviews
- Adhere to project schedules, budgets, and scope of work
Skills
- Bachelor's, Associate's, and or vocational degree
- A minimum of three years of experience in electrical engineering design for buildings and facilities is a must
- Proficiency in electrical distribution system, power, and lighting design is a must
- Proficiency in Revit is a must
- Knowledge of building, energy, electrical, and life-safety codes
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented, collaborative, and client-focused
- Professional growth mindset, technical curiosity, and willingness to learn
- Experience with SKM Power Tools or similar software is a plus
