Summary
ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is a workforce solutions provider supporting clients across technology and other professional sectors. The company is seeking a Software Engineer to develop software enhancements and support machine learning classification systems by monitoring data quality, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining operational excellence across ML pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Deliver well-scoped software enhancements and features aligned to project goals and timelines
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following established engineering standards
- Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve quality and reliability
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across the development lifecycle
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, design, data, security) to support execution of defined deliverables
- Create and maintain technical documentation for implemented solutions
- Contribute to operational excellence, including monitoring, incident response support, and performance improvements as needed
Skills
- Experience with developing evaluated machine learning models, particularly classification models
- Experience building or supporting ML systems in production environments
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++, Go, or similar)
- Experience building, testing, and maintaining production-quality software
- Experience with common development practices and tools (e.g., version control, code review, CI/CD)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Experience at a major technology or social media company
