Summary
ECS is seeking a QA Engineer to work remotely on its Homeland Security Solutions team. The role focuses on User Acceptance Testing and software quality assurance, including validating applications against business requirements, documenting and executing tests, tracking defects, and ensuring software quality before release.
Responsibilities
- Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure software meets business and end-user requirements
- Perform software QA testing across web and application platforms
- Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
- Identify, document, track, and retest software defects
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders during testing cycles
- Validate fixes and ensure regression testing is completed prior to release
- Ensure quality standards and acceptance criteria are consistently met
Skills
- Must have US citizenship
- Ability to pass a Public Trust investigation
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Experience with UAT (User Acceptance Testing)
- Strong background in Software Quality Assurance (SW QA)
- Ability to translate business requirements into effective test cases
- Experience identifying and documenting defects clearly and concisely
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Effective communication skills for cross‑team collaboration
