Job description

Summary

Edkey is a company seeking an entry-level Full Stack Engineer to support a confidential client in building AI agents and consumer-facing features. The role involves shipping end-to-end features across the frontend and backend while learning distributed systems concepts in a small, high-trust engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Build and ship complete features end-to-end using modern web stacks (React, TypeScript, Node.js)
  • Contribute across the full stack with a leaning toward backend and distributed systems as you grow
  • Design and implement APIs (REST or GraphQL) and integrate third-party services, including LLM APIs where applicable
  • Implement reliable background processing, queuing, and caching patterns to improve performance and scalability
  • Own your work from specification through testing, deployment, and monitoring
  • Collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineers in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Continuously learn, iterate, and improve code quality, testing, and system reliability

Skills

  • 0–2 years of professional software engineering experience (entry-level / early-career)
  • Hands-on experience or personal projects using React, TypeScript, and Node.js
  • Proven ability to build side projects, open-source contributions, or coursework demonstrating practical coding experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and a bias toward shipping
  • Excellent communication and a collaborative mindset
  • Familiarity with GraphQL and API design
  • Understanding of distributed systems concepts (queuing, caching, background workers)
  • Any experience calling LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) or integrating LLM-based features
  • Prior experience at a high-growth startup or top CS programs/projects
