Summary
Element 84 develops cloud-based geospatial data processing pipelines and software for public, private, and nonprofit clients. The Digital and Interactive Content Developer will support federal clients by coordinating communication, education, and branding efforts for a program modernizing weather prediction capabilities. The role focuses on developing multimedia content, translating complex science and technology, managing stakeholder engagement, and executing digital communication strategies.
Responsibilities
- Execute social media strategy through editorial planning, campaigns, publishing, monitoring, engagement, and measurement
- Develop newsletters, announcements, web stories, outreach materials, presentations, graphics, infographics, short-form video, and other multimedia
- Translate complex EPIC/UFS science and technology into clear, accurate, audience-appropriate content
- Maintain consistent EPIC/UFS/NOAA branding and editorial quality
- Support education, outreach, events, software releases, technical milestones, and community opportunities with coordinated communications products
- Quality control of deliverables
- Manage stakeholder engagement workflows, community feedback processes, action tracking, approvals, and reporting
Skills
- 3+ years of experience as a communications role (communications specialist or equivalent)
- Experience creating and publishing multimedia content for web and social media platforms
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Canva for designing graphics and visual communications
- Experience developing and executing digital communication campaigns that increase audience engagement and visibility
- Experience using analytics, user feedback, and market research to optimize digital content and communication strategies
- Ability to translate complex technical, policy, or scientific information into clear, accessible content for diverse audiences
- Ability to work as a member of a small team, collaborating with subject-matter experts and external stakeholders
- Proponent of continuous improvement; willingness to bring new ideas to the team
- Outstanding all-round communication skills and ability to work collaboratively and proficiently in a remote environment
- Energetic, self-motivated, team player
