Summary
Engineering Services Network (ESN) is a Veteran Owned Small Business that delivers trusted solutions supporting the nation's defense. They are seeking an IT Specialist – Power Apps Developer to develop and maintain low-code applications for enhancing maintenance planning and workflow efficiency at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven Apps) to support shipyard planning processes
- Automate workflows and approvals using Power Automate
- Support data integration with SharePoint, Dataverse, and other Microsoft 365 tools
- Collaborate with planners, engineers, and project managers to gather requirements and deliver user-friendly solutions
- Assist in tracking maintenance schedules, work packages, and availability metrics
- Troubleshoot application issues and provide end-user support
- Document systems, workflows, and standard operating procedures
Skills
- 1–3+ years of experience in IT, application development, or related field
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Apps and/or Power Automate
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (SharePoint, Teams, Excel)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a team supporting operational environments
- Experience supporting Navy, shipyard, or maintenance planning environments
- Knowledge of aircraft carrier maintenance, availability, or planning processes
- Familiarity with Power BI or basic data visualization
- Prior military service, especially in engineering, reactors, or maintenance planning roles
- Microsoft Power Platform certifications (PL-100, PL-200)
