Software Engineer II, Developer Platform

Summary

Etsy is a global marketplace for unique and creative goods that builds tools and technologies connecting entrepreneurs with buyers. The Software Engineer II, Developer Platform will improve development workflows and environments by building infrastructure and tooling for writing, testing, and shipping code, with work spanning CI/CD, developer environments, and engineering architecture.

Responsibilities

• Stand-ups, sprint planning, and retros along with other agile ceremonies
• On-call rotations and Slack support for our engineering "customers"
• Pull request reviews and discussions with a focus on quality software engineering practices
• Writing and updating documentation with clear protocols for other engineers to follow
• Collaborating with engineers across teams to solve shared problems

• Some exposure to infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Chef, or similar) or willingness to learn
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts, non-production environments, and software development lifecycle workflows
