Job description
Summary
EU Design Consulting, a locally owned boutique firm specializing in structural engineering, is seeking a CAD Designer to provide expertise on various Structural Engineering projects. The role involves preparing CAD drawings, managing drawing files, and collaborating with engineers and other designers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare CAD drawings and contract documents
- Manage drawing files, CAD standards and other digital files as needed
- Prepare graphics for engineering reports
- Read, understand, interpret existing drawings with mark-ups
- Collaborate with engineers and other designers
Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent practical experience
- Degree or certification in drafting or equivalent practical experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD
- Extensive experience in developing contract drawings
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong management skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Authorized to work in the US
- Experience with software such as Revit and/or SketchUp
- Experience with BIM
Qualifications
Must Haves
- High School Diploma or equivalent practical experience
