Summary
Everon provides security solutions and services through a comprehensive portfolio and national presence. The System Designer II serves as a technical resource for sales and operations teams, designing intrusion, security, CCTV, and card access systems. The role evaluates project specifications, selects cost-effective products and installation methods, coordinates with internal teams and vendors, and supports project documentation and customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Sales and Technical staff to interpret project specifications and drawings, determining system layout
- Work with staff to interpret project specifications and drawings, determining system layout
- Engage in communications with our vendor partners on an as-needed basis
- Requires communication and coordination with other departments to resolve customer complaints or inquiries
- Promptly resolves questions and problems related to assigned areas raised by customers
- Builds and maintains business relationships with clients by providing prompt and accurate services to promote customer loyalty
- Review plans where a design was prepared by others (i.e.: MEP or FPE firm)
- Review specifications where a design was prepared by others (i.e.: MEP or FPE firm)
- Perform takeoff and prepare counts of equipment and devices from floor plans
- Monitor and manage support services such as maintenance of project paperwork to include contracts, revisions, estimates, work drawing and specifications
- Must be able to work extended hours to support timelines
- Performs other related duties as required and/or assigned
Skills
- Must have previous experience in commercial security systems design
- * Possess a working knowledge of low voltage communications systems
- * Must demonstrate experience with PDF markup tools (Bluebeam preferred)
- * Must demonstrate computer literacy, including such programs as MS Word, Excel, Outlook
- * Actively participate in personal and professional development and maintain knowledge of current and new technologies that the company offers
- * Have proficient knowledge of the product lines and related parts used by Everon
- * Must possess superior interpersonal skills and be a team player
- * Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adjust to shifting priorities

- Associates degree in Electronics or other technical field or equivalent experience preferred
- Prefer 3+ years industry experience
