ABOUT USChannel 16 is a dynamic television broadcasting station and full-service video production house dedicated to delivering compelling content across broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms. From local happenings and social media content to award-winning productions, including documentaries and promotional campaigns, and more. Simply put, we are story tellers with technical know-how to bring ideas to life.Our internship program is designed to give students meaningful, hands-on experience in a professional production environment while building the skills needed to enter the media industry.

INTERNING WITH USThis is an immersive, working internship—not an observational one. Interns are involved in daily operations and contribute to active projects from pre-production through final delivery. Participants gain exposure to both the creative and technical sides of media production while working alongside experienced professionals.

OPPORTUNITIESProduction & DirectingAssist with studio and field production, including camera operation, lighting, floor management, and live broadcast coordination.Skills gained: multi-camera workflows, directing fundamentals, studio operations.

Digital Media & Content CreationCreate and manage digital content for web and social platforms, including short-form video, copywriting, and audience engagement.Platforms: YouTube, Instagram, web publishing tools.

Post-Production & EditingSupport editing teams in assembling content for broadcast and digital platforms, including video editing, audio mixing, and basic motion graphics.Tools: Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects.

Audio & Broadcast EngineeringLearn the technical backbone of production, including audio setup, signal flow, and studio/broadcast systems.Skills gained: equipment operation, troubleshooting, broadcast basics.

Journalism & News ProductionWork with producers to research stories, write scripts, assist with interviews, and contribute to news segments.Skills gained: story development, scriptwriting, field production.

Graphics & Motion DesignAssist in developing visual elements for broadcast and digital use, including titles, lower thirds, and promotional assets.Tools: After Effects, Photoshop.
