Fannie Mae is a leader in housing finance for homebuyers and renters in the United States. The Associate role offers an opportunity to develop and implement analytical skills while providing research, insights, and consultative services to support various functions within the company.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement analytical skills by providing research into analytic capabilities
- Producing insights and providing consultative services
- Leveraging our data and analytic expertise to ultimately power quality and intelligent decisions in managing the business
- Financial reporting
- Risk control and delegation capabilities
- Participate in a 10-week seminar style training of both business information and technical skills
- Provide comprehensive coverage of key business areas of the company such as Underwriting and Pricing, Capital Markets, Loss Mitigation, Risk Management
- Build and apply models of Single-Family and Multifamily loan performance and valuation, property valuation and home price forecasting
- Perform sensitivity analyses to help inform senior management planning
- Provide estimates of the impacts of alternative strategic initiatives, specifically related to capital management
- Advance core models using project economic scenarios to predict borrower behavior
- Develop common modeling applications that host core models and generate common mortgage cash flows
- Establish, monitor and report on business performance by leveraging enterprise data to identify emerging risks and trends
- Enhance the company’s risk analytics and capabilities using innovative and predictive capabilities
- Review model application implementation and data processing in various technology platforms

- Academic Achievement (preferred GPA of 3.0 or above)
- Economics, Finance, Engineering Computer Science Math and Statistics majors are preferred
