Job description

Summary

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta promotes the stability and efficiency of the U.S. economy and financial system through research and policy-focused work. The Payments Forum Intern will support the Federal Reserve Payments Study by recruiting financial institutions and payments organizations and assisting with data submission and validation activities.

Responsibilities

  • Payments Forum – Selected students will be conducting recruitment of depository and financial institutions, major card networks, payments processors, and card issuers through data submission and validation activities as part of the Federal Reserve Payments Study (FRPS) administered by the Atlanta Fed’s Payments Forum in partnership with the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System
  • Encouraging these respondents to participate and helping them to do so is the goal of the Research Interns

Skills

  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student, preferably in economics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • Preference will be given to candidates willing to make a two-semester commitment (Spring/Summer 2027)
