Fullstack or Backend Developer İstanbul - Remote Full-Time

Summary

Fimple is a product company building a cloud-native, API-first platform for digital financial institutions. The Full Stack or Backend Developer will build and maintain scalable, secure applications for next-generation digital banking experiences, collaborating across product, architecture, development, and data teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and development teams to ideate and design software solutions
• Develop client-side and server-side architecture for scalable, secure applications
• Build intuitive, responsive, and visually appealing frontend interfaces
• Develop and maintain robust databases, backend services, and APIs
• Ensure the performance, reliability, and security of applications
• Troubleshoot, debug, and continuously improve existing systems and functionalities
• Conduct automated and manual tests to ensure product quality
• Implement security and data protection best practices across all development layers
• Build features with a mobile-responsive design approach
• Write clear, maintainable technical documentation
• Collaborate with data teams to optimize data workflows and improve platform intelligence

Skills

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a Full Stack or Backend-focused Developer
• Banking industry experience in at least one of the following areas: Credits, Accounting, Core Banking, Transfers (SWIFT, EFT, SEPA, etc.), Treasury, or Financial Analysis
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Strong proficiency in frontend fundamentals: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
• Proficiency with server-side languages and frameworks such as .NET, Java, Node.js, or Python
• Familiarity with database technologies such as MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or MongoDB
• Understanding of RESTful API design and integration patterns
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and debugging skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote setting
