Job description
Summary
Game Plan Tech is a mission-driven consulting and services firm specializing in helping government teams access innovative technologies. They are seeking Software Engineers to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software that impacts mission outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test software applications and systems
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers
- Troubleshoot and debug software issues
- Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software development
- Contribute to the improvement of development processes and tools
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, Go)
- Experience with cloud computing platforms like GCP/AWS/Azure, databases like SQL or NoSQL, and version control systems like Git
- Experience with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for software development and a desire to learn and grow
