Summary
Georgia IT, Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer for a remote contract position. The role involves designing and developing service components using Python and FastAPI, deploying them in a cloud-based Kubernetes environment, and building SQL queries for data analytics.
Responsibilities
- Participate in design and development of Python / Fast API based service components
- Design versioned service endpoints that evolve over time
- Deploy components in a Cloud-based Kubernetes environment
- Build SQL DDL and DML Queries that execute against Snowflake and PostgreSQL environments
- Perform unit and integration testing in PyTest
Skills
- Participate in design and development of Python / Fast API based service components

- 2+ years of proven professional Python development experience
- 1+ years of experience using FastAPI, Pydantic, and SQL Alchemy Frameworks
- 2+ years of experience with automated unit testing using PyTest
- Experience with RESTful APIs (preferably utilizing HATEOAS)
- Experience with using CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions Preferred)
- USC, GC, GCEAD and L2EADS Are only preferred
- Experience building metadata driven highly dynamic services
- Experience building SQL DDL and DML Queries for running Data Analytics against Large Data Sets (Snowflake)
