Summary
Staritas helps healthcare organizations make better decisions through innovative technology, data-driven insights, and expert services. The Staff Accountant will maintain the financial foundation of the company by preparing journal entries, performing reconciliations, supporting financial close and reporting, and contributing to audits and process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Support month-end and year-end close activities
- Assist with financial statement preparation and management reporting
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with accounting policies
- Analyze financial data, research variances, and identify trends
- Support external audits and prepare audit schedules
- Assist with fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and other balance sheet accounts
- Partner with teams across the organization to support accurate financial reporting
- Contribute to process improvements and other projects as assigned
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2-5 years of accounting experience, including general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Experience supporting month-end close processes
- Experience working within an ERP or accounting system
- NetSuite or similar ERP systems
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUPs, formulas)
- Financial reporting and reconciliation tools
- Revenue recognition and subscription billing platforms
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Data analysis and reporting tools
- Up to 10% travel, based on business needs
- The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while performing work at a desk or workstation
- The employee must be able to operate standard office equipment, including a computer, keyboard, mouse, webcam, and telephone
- The role also requires the ability to occasionally move throughout a workspace to access files, office equipment, and work-related materials
- Effective communication, both written and verbal, is essential for interacting with employees, clients, and stakeholders
- Public accounting experience
- CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA certification
- Experience in healthcare technology, SaaS, or subscription-based organizations
- Experience supporting audits and compliance initiatives
Qualifications
