Summary
GovCIO is hiring a Financial Analyst to support its National Security Sector. The role supports financial reporting, program forecasting, budgeting, operational reviews, month-end close activities, subcontractor spending, and collaboration with corporate departments.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing timely and accurate financial reporting deliverables including program trend analysis, variance analysis against budget and prior forecasts and monthly reporting for executive management
- Support Senior Financial Analyst in managing large program with multiple task orders and contribute to quarterly forecasts and annual operating budgets
- Provide foundational analysis of key program drivers, risks, and opportunities
- Prepare data and analysis to support program operational reviews
- Support the program month-end close process including cost accruals, revenue recognition and expense reviews
- Monitor subcontracting spending and assist with subcontractor voucher approvals
- Collaborate with Accounting, Contracts, Procurement and other corporate back-office departments to support program operations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills
- Bachelor's with 2-5 years (or commensurate experience)
- 2-5 years in Finance role (Program Finance, Project Control and/or Financial Planning and Analysis)
- Foundational understanding of Government Contracting concepts and basic familiarity with CAS, FAR, and GAAP principles
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to relay information clearly
- Self‑motivated team contributor with willingness to learn and grow
- Candidate may be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoW security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required
- Advanced skills are a plus
- Familiarity with common contract types (FFP, T&M, Cost Type) is helpful but not essential
- Exposure to Deltek Costpoint, TM1 Forecasting software, or Cognos Reporting
- Experience managing OCONUS programs is a plus but not required
- Active DoW clearance is a plus but not required
