Summary
GSI Environmental Inc. is an employee-owned company known for its high-quality professional services in water resources, environmental, and geotechnical practices. They are seeking an Entry- to Mid-Level Engineer to support various projects, including hydrogeology and geotechnical engineering, while contributing to technical analyses and project management activities.
Responsibilities
- Support projects in the fields of hydrogeology, water resources, surface hydraulics and hydrology, and geotechnical engineering
- Perform technical analyses with guidance by a supervisor
- Data collection, compilation, visualization, and analysis
- Computer modeling
- Field activities
- Oral or written presentation to supervisor, project team, and clients
- Participate in proposal development, project management and business development activities
Skills
- Advanced degree with background in groundwater/hydrogeology, environmental engineering, surface water hydraulics, coastal engineering, hydrology and/or geotechnical fields
- Excellent data analysis skills, such as knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning methods
- Excellent computer modeling skills
- Proficiency in programming in at least one coding language, such as MATLAB, R, and/or Python
- Knowledge of statistical and probabilistic analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Critical thinking, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Collaborative mindset
- Valid drivers license and ability to pass a standard background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Knowledge of models such as TOUGH, MODFLOW, MIKE21
