Summary
imec USA is a research and innovation hub focused on nanoelectronics, digital technologies, and superconducting electronics. The Test Engineer will test and characterize superconducting electronic devices, maintain automated test software, configure testing hardware, optimize measurement methodologies, and collaborate on data processing, projects, and technical publications.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for maintaining and updating automated test software drivers and scripts
- Configure test hardware for DC, RF, and digital testing
- Contribute to the measurement and characterization of superconducting electronic devices
- Improve and optimize existing design and characterization methodologies and procedures
- Collaborate with design and hardware-to-model team leads to solve test and data-processing bottlenecks
- Contribute to funded and bilateral projects through their definition and execution, depending on your level of experience and expertise
- Report results to colleagues and customers
- Contribute to publications in international journals and conferences
Skills
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline
- You have experience in device measurement and characterization
- You have strong programming skills, with experience in Python
- You have experience with software control of laboratory instruments
- You have good communication skills and are comfortable interfacing with internal and external customers
- You are able to take initiative and work independently while being part of a collaborative team
- You are pragmatic and hands-on, with a can-do attitude
- A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline
- Experience with database management and hardware-to-model correlation
- Experience working in an R&D environment
