Summary
InductiveHealth is a leader in SaaS solutions for public health agencies, dedicated to stopping disease through technology. The Staff Accountant will manage accounts payable, payroll accounting, and various month-end close activities while collaborating with leadership to improve processes and support financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Accounting activities will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP
- Preparation and presentation of accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements and other necessary reporting documents
- Assist with state and local tax registrations, annual reports, business license renewals, and other regulatory compliance filings
- Collaboration in the formal development and implementation of financial policies and procedures
- Own accounts payable operations including vendor onboarding, invoice processing, payment administration, and vendor statement reconciliations
- Maintain vendor records
- Assist with payroll accounting, benefit accruals, commission accruals, and payroll-related account reconciliations
- Calculate and record departmental cost allocations and interdepartmental expense allocations
- Prepare assigned month-end close deliverables in accordance with the monthly close calendar and established internal control procedures
- Maintain prepaid expense, fixed asset, and accrual schedules
- Support month-end and year-end close activities
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate reconciling items
- Assist with preparation of audit schedules and support annual financial statement audits
- Support the Senior Revenue Accountant with billing, collections, and revenue accounting projects as needed
- Maintain accounting records within NetSuite and assist with system improvements and process efficiencies
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and internal controls
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 5+ years of experience in financial management roles with relevant experience
- SaaS experience required
- NetSuite experience required
- Thoroughly versed in GAAP particularly with technology related requirements, and have strong background in non-routine and complex transactions
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting
- Experience with accounts payable, payroll accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative accounting team
- CPA or CPA candidate
- Bill pay experience
