Job description

Summary

INFICON is a leading provider of innovative instrumentation and software solutions for the semiconductor industry. They are seeking an Applications Engineer to deploy and support their FabGuard software, provide technical assistance, and conduct training on their products.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy and support FabGuard software
  • Partner with tool owners to determine which tool data, sensor data, and wafer logistics data to trace in FabGuard, and when it is appropriate to trace those variables
  • Provide technical assistance for internal and external customers
  • Provide written and oral feedback to the customer on applications work including process troubleshooting, FDC development, and advanced analysis techniques
  • Provide onsite training on INFICON products including FabGuard FDC software, INFICON hardware usage and basic troubleshooting
  • Provide installation support of INFICON software and hardware as needed

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, or a related scientific field
  • 3+ years of semiconductor industry experience with strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and OEM equipment, including lithography, PVD, CVD, Etch, and CMP
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Adaptable and able to build strong relationships with internal teams and external clients
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking skills for solving complex problems
  • Highly organized with proficient computer skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%, with additional travel opportunities available
  • Experience in Fault Detection and Classification (FDC), computer networking, and factory automation and/or FabGuard products is a plus

Qualifications
