Job description

Summary

Inroads applies data, analytics, technology, research, and content development to create personalized services and programs for communities. The Senior Associate, Analytics will perform quantitative analyses, develop reports and dashboards, investigate data issues, and provide actionable insights to support healthcare outreach programs and federal client decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quantitative analyses using SQL, R, or Python to evaluate outreach campaign efficiency, enrollment trends, and the impact of state and federal health policies on Marketplace consumers
  • Draft reports, policy briefs, and client-facing dashboards, decks, and data visualizations that translate complicated data into actionable insights that support decision making
  • Partner with engineers, data scientists, program managers, and external stakeholders to investigate data inconsistencies, troubleshoot problems, and identify solutions
  • Clean, transform, and aggregate outreach campaign and enrollment data, ensuring rigorous quality control and accuracy across all deliverables
  • Maintain detailed documentation, contribute to internal research proposals, and help manage task deliverables under fast-paced deadlines
  • Develop a deep understanding of the [healthcare.gov](http://healthcare.gov) Marketplace and evolving federal health coverage policies to better contextualize performance and trend analyses

Skills

  • 2+ years of applied experience working with structured and unstructured data
  • An undergraduate degree in a quantitative field or equivalent technical training
  • Advanced understanding of data manipulation using SQL, R,  or Python, and working within cloud-based analytics systems (e.g. Snowflake and DBT)
  • Proficiency creating and testing data transformation processes and automating repeatable tasks
  • Experience going from data to insight to impact - using the results of your analysis to effectively tell an informative and engaging story through visualization, presentation, and writing to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience developing client facing reports, analyses, and dashboards that blend data-driven decision making with thoughtful understanding of human-centered design and processes
  • Helping to organize raw analysis into consumable stories and recommendations, adding context, or refining ideation and solutioning in the team's work
  • Experience  in applying foundational statistics (e.g., weighted averages)
  • Passion in applying your skills to our social mission to problem-solve and collaborate within a cross-functional, client-facing team environment
  • The ability to successfully attain and maintain a Federal Public Trust background investigation that our government clients require; this includes a requirement that the individual has U.S. Citizenship, or U.S. residency for three of the past five years (36 of the past 60 months)
  • Experience with analysis of informative email, SMS, or phone outreach campaigns, conversion funnels, and website performance
  • Knowledge and understanding of consumer healthcare or provider data
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics
  • Designing and building visualizations and reports with Tableau, Streamlit, Dash, Shiny, etc
