Job description

Summary

The International Institute of New England (IINE) has been supporting refugees and immigrants for over a century. They are seeking a Marketing and Communications Intern to help produce multimedia content that highlights the stories and contributions of these communities, while also supporting fundraising efforts and enhancing the organization's digital presence.

Responsibilities

  • Help capture and edit video, photo, and audio for internal and external use
  • Assist in drafting and planning social media content
  • Help produce marketing materials for internal and external use
  • Assemble material packets to be used in donor meetings and at tabling events
  • Locate opportunities to apply expertise and add value to projects
  • Support the marketing team in event promotion and other activities as needed

Skills

  • Interest in international, refugee, asylee, and immigrant issues
  • Interest in marketing, communications, and fundraising
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and to switch gears quickly
  • Professionalism, discretion, and maturity in dealing with confidential information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite Applications
  • High School Diploma or higher
  • Experience working as a team
  • Experience with graphic design and video production
  • Experience with social media scheduling software, preferred but not required
