Summary
iVisa is a company focused on simplifying the travel process for individuals by facilitating visas and travel documents. The Site Reliability Engineer will ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of the software infrastructure while supporting day-to-day operations and responding to incidents.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring and maintaining Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads
- Troubleshooting system issues and improving runbooks or operational documentation
- Supporting and maintaining our observability stack - metrics, logs, alerting rules
- Applying infrastructure changes through Terraform and our Gitops workflow, following code review workflows
- Participating in disaster recovery testing and the on-call rotation
- Assisting software engineers and providing guidance when necessary
Skills
- Expertise in Docker and Kubernetes concepts
- Fluency with Linux and the Bash scripting language
- Familiarity with core AWS concepts and services, particularly IAM, VPCs, EC2 and EKS
- Experience using Terraform to deploy cloud infrastructure and other resources
- Ability to leverage Prometheus and the Grafana OSS ecosystem to collect metrics and logs
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals
- Strong problem-solving and clear communication skills
- Willingness to ask questions and collaborate across teams
- Exposure to GitOps principles and Argo CD
- Experience with Gitlab CI/CD pipelines (or similar)
- Familiarity with the Go programming language
- Experience with access management and SSO
- Familiarity with Cloudflare and application firewalls
- Familiarity with Helm
